Throughout 2010, The foundation raised $1,000 from our grassroots supporters via our website; $640.00 from the All Black Affairs Foundation T-Shirt sales that was held on October 30, 2010; $4,000 from our December 4th, 2010 Official Launching in Columbia, Maryland; and a $3,200 financial contribution from Mr. Checago Bright, Founder/CEO of the Checago Bright Foundation, Inc to complete a six-room latrine in Sinkor, Monrovia. The latrine benefited approximately ten thousand residents in the area. Prior to the Foundation’s arrival, all three communities had dilapidated hanging toilets built in a swampy area over a stagnant stream of water. Residents in and around these communities used these toilets everyday, which was devastating and life threatening for the residents. When it rained, the area got flooded and feces could be seen floating over the water.
