Wehn Town is highly congested and densely populated and it is 5 miles from the center of Monrovia and lack access to safe drinking water. Due to the lack of clean and safe drinking water, Wehn Town community is characterized by high prevalence rate of diarrhea and other water born diseases.
The Hand Pump will help alleviate residents walking miles to fetch water from unsanitary and open dug wells and reduce the high risk of water borne diseases.
