On Saturday, April 9, 2016, The Checago Bright Foundation (CBF), Inc. dedicated the Went’s Town Water Project! We want to sincerely thank our partners, S4 Infinity Varfee and Lutecia Foundation for the great partnership to provide clean and safe drinking water to the people of Wen’s Town. The residents of Wen’s Town expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation for providing them with clean and safe drinking water.

Project Background

Water is Life! It is an absolute necessity to the survival of life, without which, existence would be impossible. For over 20 years, the people (361 residents) of Went’s Town drank drinking water from a stagnant creek that is unhygienic. The town has total of 361 residents- 161 children and 200 adults.

GOAL:

To reduce the impact of water borne diseases

OBJECTIVE:

To provide a clean and safe drinking water for the people of Went’s Town.

ACTIVITY:

To construct a hand ‘dug’ pump in the area.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:

The health and social welfare of the children will greatly improve by the construction of a hand pump in the town. Additionally, children will be alleviated from the burden of walking long distances to fetch drinking water and focus more on their education.
